It is with pleasure Corporate Venue & Event Management Pty Ltd announce the appointment of Melinda Goldman as our New Operations Manager.
Due to the reduction in John's [Nadfalusi] office hours while he takes on a more challenging role looking after his
family Melinda will assume the role from May 3rd 2010. John will remain for at least one day a week to assist Melinda and cover other roles as our business expands.
Melinda is extremely knowledgeable about our business and has worked diligently to offer innovative solutions for our clients and staff. She has been committed to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the highest level of integrity in everything she does.
The professionalism, courtesy, respect and integrity displayed in the short time she has been with us is beyond compare. Melinda is dedicated to provide a level of service that will 'exceed expectation'. In the our business it is of the utmost importance to exhibit that personal touch; commonly required to unify the event philosophy with Security.

Welcome
CVEM Security will now provide a regular newsletter to assist with the transfer of relevant information between guards, management and clients.
Information will deal with current issues in regards to licensing etc as well as staff issues.
LICENSE DISPLAY
Under the changes to the legislation there is now an increased requirement for all guards to display their license.
To ensure that the licence is clearly visible, the
amended Act requires it to be attached:
to the licensees outer clothing (i.e. not covered by
a jacket or other garment)
at or above the licensees waist
at the front or side of the licensees body
with the front face (i.e. the side with the
photograph) clearly visible to a person standing in
front of the licensee.
The licensee must not cover any part of the licence, for
example the licensees name, so as to prevent it being
seen.
No photo copies are to be used.
FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED AS IT IS RECEIVED.
YOUR DUTIES AND FEEDBACK
As most staff working at our larger venues are aware our roles within the venues and the duties we perform are constantly changing. With this in mind we need all staff to ensure that they are aware of what is expected of them at each venue. If you are unsure please ask the supervisor or contact the office so we can update you.
If you feel you are lacking in any areas and identify any training needs please notify the office so we can research the possibility of upgrading not only your skills but there maybe others identified with the same needs.
In future news letters there will be a section for feedback and other items from staff and management. If you want something put into the letter please let me know ASAP.
FROM THE OFFICE
We understand that you will at times need days off HOWEVER we request that you supply us at least 2 WEEKS NOTICE WHEN YOU REQUIRE LEAVE.
If there are times when you have issues with your rostered shifts, these issues cannot be rectified by debating amongst yourselves. TO RESOLVE ISSUES CONTACT MEL, JOHN OR STEVE IN THE OFFICE AND THEY WILL WORK THROUGH THEM FOR YOU.
Also during the busy periods staff may at times be called on to alter their regular time schedule and shift locations. These changes are not made without consideration and are done to suit operational requirements. So please assist where possible.
CUSTOMER SERVICE / APPEARANCE
As you are all aware CVEM pride ourselves on the performance and appearance of our staff and our attitudes to the patrons and guests within the premises where we work. As all of you have been made aware when working on a clients site you also come under there operational requirements. Please ensure that all of you maintain first class appearance and dress. Ensure you are tidy and your clothing is clean maintained and ironed etc. Chewing gum is not acceptable on your shift as our aim is to project a professional image in line with the Customer Service goals of our clients.
EQUIPMENT
As a result of a deal negotiated this week we are now in a position to supply a number of various items of equipment to you at a price greatly below market value. These items include high quality personal torches, cargo pants, and other items.
We have access to four different styles of boots and shoes which are suitable for security work. These are similar to those used by military, police etc and are considerably less expensive than the local stores.
